# When does 1+1=3?

I did A Level Maths, and I made a bit of an attempt to do Further Maths too (don’t ask, it just all went wrong somewhere shortly after GCSEs). But I’m not sure I can explain the conundrum posed in the title of this blog. Perhaps there is an explanation for it in the realms of maths or science, in fact Brian Cox could probably rattle off a thousand reasons for why 1 plus 1 might equal to 3.

I, on the other hand, can only offer you one solution! And it’s a very exciting solution indeed.

I would like to introduce you all, my wonderful readers, to little baby-to-be Mercer.

This was the twelve week scan, which happened a little while ago; Lynds is now 18 weeks at the time of posting. It’s a very exciting time for us both!

(ps, Godels theorem also helps you to understand how in mathematical terms, 1+1 could equal 3 :-) #gettingmygeekonsince1977 )
