Juneathon day numero uno

…Drumroll please – todays activity of choice gets juneathon 2012 off to a soft, gentle, pleasant start with a full hour of bendy yoga.

Not quite so relaxing as one might think, especially when doing the sideways bend lunge type thing.

Knee felt a little sore in a couple of poses – but was very definitely easing off as I got to the end. So I hope that continues. Thanks already for the support from others – especially with my knee issues!

      1. I have to say that I prefer Pilates to yoga, I’m definitely stronger than I am flexible and Pilates taps into both.
In yoga class I always run the risk of being humiliated by the 80 year old grannies who can serenely hold the poses while I am wobbling around at the back of the room – but its all about the small goals (e.g. one less yoga block to prop me up than last week). I’ve found a good Yoga for Runners class where the instructor understands the limitations I’m working with – tight hamstrings, calves and hip flexors – and there are a few good books like that on Amazon.
        Good luck! :)
